Hamlisch composed a great many movie scores. He also had a #3 hit in 1974 with a reworked Scott Joplin tune called "The Entertainer".  A family spokesperson says that Hamlisch, 68, died this morning after a brief illness. His musical credits go far beyond just adapting the music of Scott Joplin for the movie "The Sting"..
