A Eunice man is charged with the rape of an intellectually disabled girl that happened in August 2023.

Eyewitnesses were shocked to see police with guns drawn on I-10 in Lafayette as authorities made a dramatic arrest on Sunday (Mar. 19).

The suspect is alleged to have taken part in the sexual assault of a girl in 2021.

The second accusation involves a 12-year-old girl.

State officials are suspending the liquor license of a Tigerland bar in the wake of reports that a 19-year-old LSU student was heavily drinking there before being raped and then fatally struck by a vehicle.

Authorities arrested four individuals Monday (Jan. 23) in the rape of LSU student Madison Brooks who was later hit and killed by a vehicle after being left in a neighborhood nearby.

The atrocities involving an 11-year-old girl reportedly have been reportedly going on since 2017.

CPSO re-arrested Deidre R. Smith of Sulphur, a former teacher in Lake Charles, on 17 additional counts of sexual offenses with a 10-year-old student.

A local man, John Ledoux, of Lake Charles was arrested and booked into C.C.C. on charges of 1st-degree rape and false imprisonment.

Back on May 1 of this year, David Wayne Sims was found guilty of raping one female and of inappropriately touching another. Both of Sims' victims were juveniles. Sims' sentence was handed down yesterday.

Lake Charles resident, Christopher James Soileau was arrested and booked for the alleged aggravated rape of a 19 year old developmentally delayed girl. The story behind the arrest goes back to last Summer.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Sex Crimes unit is asking for the public's help to find a unknown man in reference to a forcible rape.
