The Lance Guidry era began with a total dominance of the Tarleton State Texans, 33-3 Saturday evening in Cowboy Stadium.

The McNeese State Baseball team has been very streaky this year. They won their first four games then proceeded to lose four straight. Let's hope they started another winning streak yesterday in Lafayette.

It looked like a great season was coming; but it's a long season and a string of 4 wins or 4 losses will not be what the season is based on in the end. After dropping the third game in a weekend series with Bradley, the Pokes find themselves at 4-4 and playing streaky ball.

Bradley has taken the weekend series against the MSU Cowboys who have dropped three games in a row after winning their first four. The Cowboys have not been able to score a single run against Bradley in the first two games of the weekend series

With both teams loosing two straight games ,,,,McNeese has probably lost it's way out of the playoffs and LSU is moving toward a lower tier bowl game.

McNeese State won it's homecoming despite six turnovers and LSU routed Kentucky last night. Now we wait to see if the Saints can win for the hat trick.

The McNeese State Cowboys came less than a minute away from beating then #19 Nebraska. This stellar performance has landed the pokes at number 6 in both polls ranking FCS teams.

Football practice in shorts is tough in this weather; but it's not really football practice until the pads go on.

McNeese lost to Central Arkansas (11-3) yesterday and now must play a do or die game in the Southland Conference tournament today. Don't miss any of the action as the Pokes take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

The Cowboys Baseball team had a great regular season with the most wins (26) for the team since 2010 and the most conference wins (18) since 2006. This has propelled the team into the SLC Tournament where anything can happen.

The Cowboys baseball team has show signs of greatness this season that should have all of the Southland Conference taking notice. The latest was a weekend sweep over the University of New Orleans in New Orleans.
