September 23, 2012 Most people are playing it off as just a one time, mistake filled, injury riddled loss for McNeese. That is optimistic and a hard sell at this point. The 25-24 loss to Southeastern last night was a definite upset and hopefully not a sign of future problems.
Football is in the air and the McNeese Cowboys are getting Cowboy’s stadium ready for the first home game of the year.
The stadium already boasts a huge press box, beautiful artificial turf field and the brand new Jack Doland field house but now the Cowboys are cleaning up the stands for the fans. Check out the before and after pictures.
February 9, 2012 Texas A&M were set to welcome the McNeese Cowboys for their home opener on Aug. 30, but word broke Wednesday that the Aggies have broken that contract to play Louisiana Tech instead. The move has left McNeese scrambling to fill the hole in their schedule and could put the Cowboys facing off against a conference rival twice in the same season.

The Burton is home to festivals, McNeese Basketball games, rodeos, graduations and many other events, so it probably is time to get the facility a new look.
