QB James Tabary connected with Kent Shelby on a 33 yard touchdown pass with 26 seconds left to give McNeese a 34-27 victory over the Alcorn State Braves.
The McNeese Cowboys will make their 2017 season debut tonight in Thibodaux, when the take on the Nicholls State Colonels in a Southland Conference game.
McNeese slugged it out the number 1 offense in the country last night, but fell to Sam Houston State 56-43 in Huntsville. The loss dropped the Cowboys to 5-5 on the season and 4-4 in the Southland Conference.
