The Moss Bluff United Methodist Church is holding its third annual Hee Haw Hootenanny on Sunday, October 30. Grammy Award winner Jo-El Sonnier will be performing.

Over the years, I've had the honor to be involved with numerous civic groups and charities, but I must say that one of the best was helping to build houses for Habitat for Humanity. The project was fun, despite the fact that, since I was raised by two women, I don't know much about building and carpentry. Still, what a satisfying thing it is to help build a family a home. Well, Habitat is looking
