Golden Nugget Casino executives announced this week that construction has begun for the new $85 million, 300-room hotel tower to be located on an acre of land on the south side of the casino's pool area.

Industrial expansion is the big subject in Lake Charles. We have a new casino with over 2000 employees. I've heard that we are looking at 10,000 new people moving into our area.
