A Spooktacular Coats For Kids event takes place this Friday, Oct. 28!

Kiwanis Club of Lake Charles will kick-off its 31st "Coats For Kids" drive with the 3rd Annual Spooktacular on Friday, October 19 from 5 to 9 pm.

92.9 The Lake and our sister stations at Townsquare Media Lake Charles have always been glad to help spread the word about Coats For Kids. This was a great year for the Kiwanis Club of Lake Charles effort.

Now through November 20, The Kiwanis will be conducting their annual 'Coats for Kids' drive and all they ask is a donation of a coat that nobody wears anymore. There are many families in the area living at or near the poverty level and your donation will go to a very good cause and be put to good use. Here is a list of the locations where you can donate to 'Coats for Kids'

While it is true that we are still enjoying balmy weather ... we will have a winter and colder weather is on the way. Do you have a coat hanging in the closet that your kids have out grown or just won't wear. It's time to help some less fortunate kids and donate it to Coats for Kids.
