The Sulphur Mines Festival is this weekend and everything happens at Heritage Square. this is a great family event and in addition to all the food and fun, musical entertainment will be provided by Boomerang and Vince Vance and the Valiants.

The event starts this afternoon at 4:30 and goes until 10 p.m.. Boomerang will take the stage from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Vince Vance will perform from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

On Saturday, Twangster's Union will perform from noon to 1:30 p.m., followed by Blackbird from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Barbe Show Choir will be on stage from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sean Ardoin & Zydekool will play from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Kadillacs will perform from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The festival's bake off with judging and sampling will be at noon on Saturday.

The event is sponsored by the City of Sulphur, the Brimstone Historical Society and Sulphur Parks & Recreation.
