I guess Mother Nature figures we haven't had enough rain yet, so to help things along, there's a storm system developing in the Gulf of Mexico. According to the National Weather Service, the chances of this system becoming a tropical storm in the next 48 hours is about 80%.

Right now the system is just called Invest 91L, which is weather service talk for a system that is being investigated, thus the name "invest." Should the system develop into a tropical storm system it will become tropical storm "Bill."

Right now, the movement suggest that the system will most likely effect the Texas/Louisiana coastal areas and, of course, greatly increase our already high chances of rain for the next few days.

We'll keep you posted both here and on the air about this tropical system.
