UPDATE -- The AMBER Alert has been cancelled after police retrieved the girl. Her father is still at large, however.

As if things weren't bad enough this morning, Louisiana State Police are also searching for a three-year-old Duson girl who was abducted.  An AMBER alert has been issued, and the public is being asked to stay alert, as the child's life is believed to be in danger.

Kailey Kristy Taylor was abducted by her father, Ransom J. Taylor, 30.  They were last seen driving a 2000 white Pontiac Bonneville with the license plate number XHM 285 in the Lafayette area.

"(Ransom)is 5’6” tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing black pants, black jacket and black boots. He has a scar over his left ear. On his left bicep, he has a tattoo of a naked woman. On his right wrist, there is a tattoo bearing the name “Kristal.” -- AMBER Alert

The child is described as:

...a 3-year-old black female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 3 feet tall and weighs 34 pounds. Her hair was braided on the sides and she was last known to be wearing a lime green shirt and pink & white pants.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
