Some people are fascinated with snakes and, as we all know, a lot of people are afraid of them. Like them or hate them, the Lake Charles Civic Center will be crawling with reptiles and other creepy crawlies this weekend during the HERPS Exotic Reptile and Pet Show.

This weekend, you find literally thousands of living creatures ranging from venomous snakes to harmless pets. While some of the creatures will be for display only (don't expect to be able to buy a venomous snake), others will be for sale. If you like exotic pets, this will be the place for you this weekend and, in many cases, you'll be able to buy pets straight from the breeders.

In addition to all kinds of creatures, there will also be a special Kid's Corner where kids will be able to interact with and learn about many of the animals on display. For the non-squeamish, there will even be a live rattlesnake demonstration, and you can take part in the silent auction to benefit TxArk.
