JACKSON MANSION, DEATH BED FOR SALE

 

 

With Dr. Conrad Murray sitting in jail awaiting his November 29 sentencing hearing following his conviction on involuntary manslaughter charges in the death of Michael Jackson, the Beverly Hills home, including the bed in which the pop star died, are all going on the auction block. Auctioneer Darren Julien said, “We want to preserve the history of these items,” referring to the contents of the house, including Jackson’s deathbed. The house itself will be sold separately.

 

 

 

RICHARDS’ LIFE WINS MAJOR BOOK PRIZE

 

Guitarist-turned-author Keith Richards Tuesday night walked away with another honor for his highly acclaimed autobiography Life. The Rolling Stones member was given the Mailer Prize for Distinguished Biography at ceremonies held at the Mandarin Hotel in New York. Former President Bill Clinton introduced the 67-year old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, who quipped, “This is one for the books, if you get my drift – you hacks.”

 

 

 

 

 

JOEL DISCUSSES HIS ‘MODEL’ BEHAVIOR

 

In an interview with Spinner.com, Billy Joel spoke in depth about the recording of two of his biggest albums: 1977’s The Stranger and 1983’s An Innocent Man. In regards to the latter, Joel says he was having the time of his life. “I had gotten divorced and I started dating these different women,” he said. “I was going out with models and I was a rock star. I started dating Christie Brinkley…and started writing songs about these experiences. I kind of felt like a teenager all over again.” Both Billy Joel: The Complete Albums Collection and the 2-CD Legacy Edition of Piano Man are in stores and online now.
