Shots Fired during New Orleans Mother’s Day Parade — 17 Injured
It was a small Mother's Day parade in new Orleans. Once again, violence interrupted a serene scene in one of our cities.
the scene was a "second-line" parade on Frenchman Street in the 7th Ward. At around 2 p.m., three gunmen began to fire into the crowd. 17 people, including a 10 year old girl were injured in the senseless violence.
Early reports are than none of the injuries were life threatening but several people are in surgery at this report.
As far as the suspects are concerned, eye witnesses say it was three males but no positive identification were given.
New Orleans police continue to investigate the shootings at this hour.
