Senior Fishing Day At Sheriff’s Pond Set For May 2nd

It's not often that seniors are invited to fish free at a well stocked pond, but it is happening on Friday May 2nd. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Department is inviting seniors to fish their pond.

The fishing starts at seven at the CPSO Farm Pond behind the Calcasieu Correctional Center at 5400 E. Broad Street in Lake Charles. Volunteers will be available to help with baiting hooks and removing fish from hooks. Bait shrimp for catching catfish will be provided. There will also be refreshments. It sounds like a great time for all seniors and I'm sure there will be a few "you should've seen the one that got away" stories.
