Robin Williams Dead — Apparent Suicide

We've just learned of the death of Robin Williams. there are not a lot of details, but this is what we know right now.

Robin Williams body was discovered by his wife, Susan Schneider earlier today and she released this statement to the press:

"This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one if its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope that the focus will not be on Robin's death but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

 

According to authorities, the casue of death was suicide. According to people close to Williams, he had been battling severe depression.

Williams latest attempt at a comeback to the small screen was the CBS sitcom, 'The Crazy Ones' which was cancelled after one season.

We've lost a truly gifted and talented performer.
