I've always been proud to call Elton Louviere a friend. Not because he was a well known, well respected artist, but because he was one of the most genuine people I've ever met.

I loved visiting his home because he and his wife were very gracious hosts, but mainly because you got to see Elton's inspiration for much of his work as you walked his property.

Elton had duck blinds here and there, where he loved to hunt wildlife; with a camera. Seeing the man take a picture and turn it into a work of art was amazing. His work didn't just depict a duck or quail, he managed to capture the entire feel of the scene.

Here is a great video about Elton that was done a few years back by The American Press.
