Rebuilding Together Putting Homes Back Together in Calcasieu

Imagine you have not been able to go into your kitchen for 7 byears because the floor had rotted out and you just could not afford to have it fixed. Imagine not being able to heat or cool your home because the electric bill is too high. There is help.

Rebuilding Together Calcasieu has helped many local home owners enjoy things that many of us take for granted. The non profit agency is able to help because of corporate sponsorship and volunteer labor.The summer can be especially hard on senior homeowners of a fixed income. They can not pay the huge summer power bills. The bill is often high because of inefficient insulation and wetherization. Most of these homeowner's can not afford to properly insulate thier homes. This was a recent project for Rebuilding Calcasieu Together.

Several great Lake Charles volunteer teams have helped Rebuild Together Calcasieu in the past (like Lake Charles Coke and State Police Troop D.) This task is being taken on with a $20,000 grant from Entergy and Entergy volunteers lending a hand. Iy you or your organization would like to help ...
