Add the Office of Motor Vehicles to the ever-growing number of businesses and agencies that no longer accept cash. Now, I haven't really carried cash in years, so this won't change my life on iota, but if you've always paid with cash, this change might cause a bit of a wrinkle in your OMV experience.

Speaking of the OMV, do you remember back when, if you were really in a hurry and didn't have a lot of time to wait in line, all you had to do was go to the Sulphur OMV and there was barely a line at all? Yeah, well, all that's changed. Last time I went to Sulphur to "save time", the place was packed, so we can consider that little life hack defunct now.

Basically, all you need to know is that, starting Tuesday, you'll need a debit card, credit card, check, money order, or cashiers check for all transactions at the OMV.

Louisiana residents are also encouraged to get more information and to take advantage of a variety of OMV services offered online at www.expresslane.org.
