Children of the '80s will be pleased to hear that one of their favorite toys—Teddy Ruxpin—is back, and better than ever.

I can remember having a Teddy Ruxpin doll as a child, and my mind being blown because he would actually "talk" to me while telling the stories on the cassettes that were placed in his back. It was one of the best-selling toys of all time and now it has been upgraded with today's technology.

The original Teddy Ruxpin was released in 1985 and the new version of the doll will be the fifth version of the toy. The mouth will still move along to the sounds, but instead of relying on cassette tapes like the original, the new Teddy Ruxpin will have a 4GB of internal storage.

That means the doll can hold up to 40 stories, but also connects to a smartphone app over Bluetooth that allows it to add new content and have kids read along to the interactive book that is synced to the audio.

The new Teddy Ruxpin won't be available until 2017, but an exclusive demo by YouTube's MommyandGracieShow demonstrates the new round LCD eyes on the doll that do far more than just blink.

showing full-color animations of Teddy blinking and looking around. It adds to the believability of the character, but also less moving parts means there’s less parts to break

For some reason, I think more parents will be excited about this than their kids.
