New Google Fun–You Almost Know Kevin Bacon!

It's been around for years. Just about everyone is no more than six degrees away from knowing Kevin Bacon. In other words, you know someone who knows someone who (4 more times) knows someone that actually knows Kevin Bacon.

Google has entered all kinds of facts and figures in a fun time waster and you can find out how many degrees of separation you are from the actor.

For example:

Zooey Deschanel? Bacon Number of two. (Deschanel appeared in Failure to Launch with Sarah Jessica Parker, who appeared in Footloose with, you guessed it, Kevin Bacon.)

Sandra Bullock strikes Bacon Number gold. The pair starred in Loverboy together, giving her a BN of one.

Sesame Street's Elmo, a favorite of the preschool crowd, even has a Bacon Number. (If you're curious, it's two.)

Sometimes even non-actors have a connection.

Teddy Roosevelt? A Bacon Number of three. Sarah Palin? Also a three.

Now here's the rub. Unless you're are involved in movies, or know someone who is, don't expect any results. The good news is, you do know someone. So, when you go to the Bacon Number calculator, type in the name --Gary Shannon. It will appears as: Gary Shannon(II). See how many degrees of  separation you are from Mr. Footloose!

Tiffany was in the movie "Milwood" with Vinny Vella

So, that makes me 3 degrees of separation( along with nearly a million other people)  from Kevin Bacon. That and $7.50 will get me a drink. But, it's fun..try it yourself!
