The King of Rock and Roll is back, and he is bigger and better than ever!  I cannot think of a better place for Elvis' triumphant comeback than Las Vegas.

Thanks to the extremely talented creators and performers at Cirque du Soleil, those of us who have never seen Elvis perform live, can now see him at his best.  The show is Viva ELVIS, and you can see it at the elegant ARIA Resort & Casino at CityCenter.

It is the perfect recipe.  Start with the perfect amount of blazing horns rivaling the brass of Chicago. Then add a rocking yet precise percussion section.  Mix in a blend of jaw-dropping acrobatics, dancing and stellar video memories from Elvis' private and public life.  Last, but certainly not least, top it all off with the voice of The King.  The finished delicacy is Viva ELVIS.

Significant moments in his life – intimate, playful and grandiose – blend with the timeless songs that remain as relevant today as when they first hit the top of the charts. Viva ELVIS focuses on the essential humanity of the one superstar whose name will forever be linked with the history of Las Vegas and the entire world of entertainment: Elvis Presley.

The show is a delight for the eyes and the ears.  All of the music in the show has been remixed with modern and relevant orchestration.  Don't let the term "orchestration" fool you.  This show rocks!  While there are some amazing female musicians singing some of Presley's music, Elvis' voice is dominant throughout the show.  The creators of Viva spent considerable time and energy isolating the best tracks of Elvis' recordings to bring his voice back to life in crystal clear hi fidelity sound.  Driving beats, moving footage is all part of what the world has come to expect from Cirque du Soleil.  My personal favorite is "Suspicious Minds."  The audience is treated with video from when Elvis was at his best... live on stage.

If you spend any time in Las Vegas, it becomes obvious that The King has never really left.  You don't walk a block on "The Strip" without seeing an Elvis impersonator either performing or just walking the street.  Let me be perfectly clear...  This is not an impersonation.  This is as close as we'll ever get to seeing the man himself perform live.
