Movies Under the Stars — Finding Dory

This program has caught fire over the past few years and I constantly hear people saying that the program should be expanded to be pretty much year-round. I can't say that I disagree. It kind of harkens back to the old days when we had drive-in movies and families would pile into the old Buick and go see a movie in the "great outdoors."

I guess this is as close as we can get to those days and, if you've never taken the family to see one of the Movies Under the Stars presentations, you should take care of that problem right away and this is a great week to start a new tradition.

This weeks presentation is yet another instant classic from Disney/Pixar. The movie is, of course rated for family entertainment and, if you haven't seen it, you owe it to the family to catch this one.

The free admission showings begin at 7 p.m. at Prien Lake Park, located at 3700 West Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles. Viewers can bring their own snacks, or purchase onsite concessions provided by Gatti's Pizza and Tikiz Gulf Coast.
