The Cowboys first quarter troubles continued and the pokes found themselves down 7-0 at the beginning of the second quarter. McNeese turned it on in the second quarter with 21 points while a tenacious Cowboys defense held Northwestern to 3 points in the quarter. Those three points coming after a mishandled punt snap gave the Demons the ball first and goal on the McNeese seven yard line.

A 20 yard return of a blocked punt put the Cowboys on the score board the first time; then Stoud, Wiltz and Bennett took over. The Cowboys offensive line was dominating as the offense went to work and made some of it's most impressive drives of the year. Wiltz and Bennett combined for 250 yards on the ground and Stroud threw two touchdown passes.

The Cowboys travel to Beaumont next week to take on the Lamar Cardinals. The Pre-game and Coaches Show starts at five with the game at six on Gator 99.5 and at gator995.com.
