The Cowboys will not be invited back to Nebraska. Nebraska won but dropped out of the top twenty in the BCS rankings while McNeese lost and ended in  at number 6 in the FCS Coaches poll and the Sports Network poll.  It did earn McNeese the respect of Nebraska fans. One of them tweeted ... "Dear McNeese State Cowboys, Please go undefeated the rest of the year and win the FCS Championship. Love, Every Nebraska Fan." The Pokes start the home season this Saturday at six against Prairie View A&M at Cowboy Stadium. Tickets sales are brisk and a capacity crowd is expected. Prairie View opened their season last week with a 37-35 loss to Texas Southern.
