The McNeese Cowboys are back in Cowboy Stadium this Saturday evening when they host the Mississippi College Choctaws. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.

The Pokes are 2-0 with wins over Incarnate Word and last week at SFA. The Cowboys will be looking to get off to a better start than they have in the previous two games. McNeese has scored 14 points in the first quarter this season while giving up 14. But the Cowboys have outscored their opponents 51-6 after the first 15 minutes. Daniel Sams leads the offense with 179 yards rushing and two TDs. He has completed 27 of 50 pass attempts for 320 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Mississippi College is a Division II school in Clinton Miss., just outside of Jackson. The Choctaws are 2-1 on the year and average 45 points per game. The are coached by former Southeastern La. head coach Hal Mumme. This will be the third meeting between the schools with the Cowboys have won the previous two, the last one coming in 1989.
