Did you know there was a McNeese Meal Club? Did you know that McNeese had a nutrition and food science program? Well it's time you learned about it and samples some of it's fare.

The nutrition and food science program is within the Harold and Pearl Dripps Department of Agricultural Sciences at McNeese State University. How does Pulled pork sound to you? Maybe you prefer a Fish fillet with etouffee sauce.

Well you are in luck. The meals will be offered every other Thursday beginning on September 27th from 11:30-12:30 in the Gayle Annex Food Services Lab behind Gayle Hall. The meals are prepared by students in the Quality Food Production course.

 

The dates and menus include:

 

  • Sept.      26 - Barbecue pulled pork sandwich
  • Oct. 3 -      Sriracha chicken
  • Oct. 17      - Gourmet chili
  • Oct. 24      - Red beans with pork sausage
  • Oct. 31      - Chicken biryani
  • Nov. 7      - Fish fillet with etouffee sauce
  • Nov. 14      - Meatloaf with a chipotle glaze
  • Nov. 21      - Roasted turkey
