Cowboys move to 3-0 on the season.

The McNeese Cowboys moved their record to 3-0 with a 37-0 win over the Mississippi College Choctaws at Cowboy Stadium Saturday evening.

SIx different Cowboys scored as the 'Pokes got off to a good start for the first time in three games. McNeese led 13-0 after the 1st quarter after Derrick Milton and Kent Shelby scored. David Bush added a TD reception in the 1st minute of the 2nd to give the Cowboys a 20-0 halftime lead. Ryan Ross and Grant Ashcraft added second half touchdowns. Kicker Trent Manuel was 4-5 on PAT's and hit a 43 -ard field goal.

Defensively, the Cowboys held the Choctaws to 114 total yards. Meanwhile, the McNeese offense picked up 506, 265 on the ground and 241 through the air. Daniel Sams had 78 yards rushing and was 11-16 for 174 yards and 2 TDs. Ryan Ross picked up 73 yards rushing.
