It looked like a great season was coming; but it's a long season and a string of 4 wins or 4 losses will not be what the season is based on in the end. After dropping the third game in a weekend series with Bradley, the Pokes find themselves at 4-4 and playing streaky ball.

McNeese started the year with a four game win streak and then promptly loss four in a row. That's baseball. The problem with the four game losing streak is that the Cowboys were unable to score at all in the last three games. Is Bradley's pitching that good or did the Pokes bats just die? That question can't be answered until a lot more baseball is played.

Sunday Braves pitcher Brent Strong held the Cowboys scoreless through eight innings and Stephen Toma pitched the ninth to complete the shut out. The pokes have not scored in 28 and a third innings and it won't be any easier tomorrow when they travel to Lafayette to take on the Ragin' Cajuns in a 6 p.m. game. You can hear the game on Cajun Radio 1470 or at cajunradio.com.
