The McNeese tailgate area and Cowboy Corral were full of fans early yesterday. Everyone was in a great mood anticipating a big win for the Cowboys. The Pokes did not disappoint and neither did the Tigers.

Lots of kids were sporting the McNeese Blue Camo jerseys and their mom's modeled the latest styles in Cowboys shirts. The men in their jerseys were busy cooking the traditional pre-game meals with grilled sausage and bodin everywhere. The kids were playing football in any open space available. The near capacity crowd then enjoyed a 48-16 win over the Prairie View Panthers. The night went just as well in Baton Rouge as the Tigers ran up a 31-0 victory over U.L. Monroe.

Cowboy Junior running back Derrick Milton scored the Cowboy's first touchdown midway through the first quarter and the Cowboys never trailed. Milton went on to score three touchdowns and rack up 109 of the 309 yards the Pokes gained rushing. The pokes defense scores for the second game in a row. McNeese Senior line backer  Deonte Thompson scooped up a Panther fumble and ran it in for a Cowboy Touchdown.

The LSU defense was having quite a night down I-10 east in Baton Rouge. While they were busy shutting out ULM ...the offense was giving five different backs the ball. Anthony Jennings finished with the most yards at 139. LSU led 10-0 at the end of the first half but then scored three touchdowns on consecutive drives in a ten minute span during the second half. Attendance at Tiger Stadium was listed at 101,194.
