This multi-media exhibition includes paintings, prints, constructions and sculpture.  Francis Pavy's work stems from the southern storytelling tradition.  Common subjects are the folk-life and folklore of the local people juxtaposed against the fabric of everyday American life with a particular interest in musicians and the musical traditions of Louisiana.  His iconic work is popular among collectors, such as Paul Simon, Lorne Michaels, Ron Howard, Jimmy Buffet, Zachary Richard, and Bob Dylan.
In addition to this great exhibit, Francis Pavy will hold a lecture at Abercrombie Gallery at MSU on Tuesday, September 18th at 11:00 a.m.
The exhibit will run from September 8th thru November 10th. The exhibit is free to the public and donations are welcome.
The Historic City Hall is located at 1001 Ryan Street

Monday-Friday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Saturday-10a.m.- 2 p.m.
