Remember the story about Robert Plant turning down his share of $800 million for a Led Zeppelin reunion? Well, here's the truth behind that story.

Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group, is now saying that the supposed $800 million offer for Led Zeppelin to reunite for a 35 date tour is false.

Branson says he made no such off and Robert Plant did not 'tear up the contract.'

The whole mess was started by the British tabloid called The Mirror. The story soon took wings and was widely circulated by the media. The Mirror has since deleted the original article.
