The Lake Charles Symphony will present a pair of concerts at the Rosa Hart Theatre inside the Lake Charles Civic Center this weekend with Sunday's performance directed at younger fans.

Saturday's performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. The set list includes "Afternoon of a Faun" by Claude Debussy, "Cello Concerto No. 2 in D" by Joseph Haydn and "Symphony No. 4 in F minor" by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

The symphony will also have a special program on Sunday geared toward children. Here's a great opportunity to expose kids to classical music and give them a better appreciation for music in general.

Sunday's 3 p.m performance is targeted toward children.  The Francis G. Bulber Youth Symphony and Calcasieu area students will accompany the Lake Charles Symphony. The performance will include:  "Once Upon a Time: 5 Fairy Tales for Orchestra" by Bernard Rogers and "Cello Concerto No. 2 in D, First Movement" by Joseph Haydn.

Tickets are $25 for adults or $20 for students and military members. Tickets can be purchased HERE or through the Lake Charles Civic Center Box Office.
