Eric Stephen Combs really messed up when he used a stolen ATM card.

This just in...Banks have security cameras.

On January 17th, the CPSO was sent out to a home to investigate a possible burglary. When officers got to the scene, the victim told them that he had heard a noise in the night, but went back to sleep. The victim added that when he awoke the next morning, he realized that he had indeed been the victim of a crime.

Here's what happened next from the CPSO Press Release

After further investigation, detectives received video footage of Eric Stephen Combs, 33, 520 E. Lagrange Street Apt. #15, Lake Charles, using an ATM to withdraw money from the victim’s account.

On January 28, detectives located Combs at his home where he confirmed to detectives he went into the victim’s home and stole the wallet.  He also confirmed he went to an ATM and took money out of the victim’s account.

Combs was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling; theft of assets of an aged or disabled person; and unauthorized use of an access card.

Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $6,500.
