LaGrange Finishes 3rd on NBC’s Smash!

Nice going there Gators!  The competition was fierce and LaGrange came out as one of the winners in the polls from NBC's Series "Smash"!

That means some pretty cool things for LaGrange High School..

Our Gators got over 12,000 votes in the competition and that means that they will get to take part in a very exciting project! And it's not like LaGrange wasn't up against some very talented nationwide competition!

There were more than 1,000 schools all trying for the same honor!  With so few school having any kind of program for theatre, the competition was designed to help "underserved" schools establish a program for the arts.

As part of their reward, two Broadway specialists will come from New York to help LaGrange with a musical theater class complete with a production.

Next fall, LaGrange High School will combine its current drama and choir classes.
