Gene Simmons always seems to get the last word and now he’s getting the last hole – on the very first Kiss-branded mini-golf course, which is scheduled to open March 2012 in Las Vegas.

Initially announced earlier this year, the latest Kiss venture was scheduled to open at the end of this year but builders hit some snags in construction that forced a delayed opening. The newly scheduled grand opening date of March 15 coincides with the anniversary of the release of the classic Kiss album ‘Destroyer,’ which will be celebrated with its own expanded deluxe edition in 2012.

Live Nation helped to broker the deal for the new course, which is being built by Monster Mini Golf and it sounds pretty cool – each of the 18 holes will feature glow-in-the-dark Kiss props with the ‘Starchild’ Paul Stanley occupying the first hole, while Simmons will grab the last stroke on the 18th hole (do you think they had a special board meeting to work this out?).

There’s a lot more than mini-golf, too — a video game arcade, a VIP room, the ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll All Nite’ Café and also, “the largest Kiss gift shop in the world.”

If you’re feeling like taking a very special matrimonial plunge, you can make it memorable by doing it at the ‘Hotter Than Hell’ Wedding Chapel!

But as is always the case with Kiss, there’s a lot more.

A live DJ will spin Kiss music to provide the soundtrack for your golfing fun and there will also be Kiss trivia contests for prizes.

The really serious hardcore fans (isn’t that the whole Kiss Army?) can immortalize themselves forever in the venue by laying down 20 bones for the privilege of having a business card sized photo of themselves placed on a restaurant or party room wall. Forty dollars will nab you a larger photo and if you really want to do it up, $1,500 will put your mug in a digital frame next to holes #2 through #17.

Five grand will allow you to share the spotlight with Stanley and Simmons on the first and last hole. That’s a real hole in one!
