Kid Sets New World’s Record by Solving Rubik’s Cube in 4.90 Seconds

Remember when Rubik's Cube was all the rage? Heck, I was a grown man and just had to have one. I loved playing with it, but every time I thought I had it solved, there woould be that one little corner piece that was supposed to be red, but was blue.

I hate to admit it, but I bought the book on how to solve it. the things is, that once I solved it, I was finished with it. Haven't tried one since. It took me several minutes even with the instructions, so I'm no threat to that world record, but the kid in this video is amazing.

All I know about the young man in the video is that his name is Lucas Etter from River Hill Fall 2015 in Clarksville, Maryland.

When the video starts, he's just sizing up the cube and evidently figured it out then and there because when the timekeeper told him to go, it was less than 5 seconds later when he solved the cube!
