Most of James Bertrand's life has been lived out in front of the media. First of all for the very troubled "Just for Jesus" rallies and now for his criminal record. Bertrand's story is one of the most sordid tales we've seen in years.

His troubles seem to have started with his rallies where, each year, there was more trouble and arrests than the year before. People were causing fights and several weapons were confiscated at these so-called religious rallies.

Following the troubles with the public image of his "Just for Jesus" rallies, Bertrand's life seemed to be a series of arrests for various charges including DWI and possession of cocaine. Bertrand has been in and out of jail several times over the past few years, but it looks like this time, he'll be in jail for awhile.

Bertrand pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of cocaine and was sentenced to a total of 10 years. Prosecutors say he'll probably serve five year plus be given credit for time served. Bertrand has been ordered to begin serving his sentence on October 20th of this year.

In the meantime, Bertrand will return to a halfway house in Pineville to undergo rehab.

All other charges against Bertrand in Calcasieu Parish are being dismissed.
