Former priest Mark Anthony Broussard is accused of sexually assaulting boys when he was a priest in Calcasieu between 1986 and 1991 and prosecutors have just completed questioning 21 potential jurors in the former priest's sexual abuse trial.

In what can be a slow, arduous process, the ball is now in the court of the defense who will question that same panel of 21 in an attempt to put together a jury of 12 people to hear the case.

Broussard is facing a host of charges in the case, including two counts of aggravated rape, one count of aggravated oral sexual battery, one count of oral sexual battery and one count of molestation of a juvenile. That may seem like a lot of charges but, consider the fact that Broussard was initially indicted on a total of 224 counts of sexual abuse.

Broussard is free on $1.5 million bond.
