Remember when it was big news when a professional athlete was arrested for anything? No? Well, maybe that's because it's been 5 years since a month went by that no one in the NFL was taken in. That's right, it's now bigger news when no one was arrested. Believe it or not, this past September, there was no one in the NFL arrested for anything. That may sound like an odd story report, but the NFL has recorded at least one arrest per month since 2009. In fact, there has been at least one arrest per week since July of 2009.

In case you wonder which teams have racked up the most arrest, it breaks down like this: The Minnesota Vikings are leading the NFL in arrest with 18 during the past five years. Coming in at second place are the Denver Broncos with 16 and rounding out the field we have the San Francisco 49ers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both with 13.

An interesting office pool would be to guess which team will be the first to have a player arrested in the month of October. There doesn't seem to be any particular pattern as to which player position holds the record for most arrest. I think I'll leave that math for people who are qualified statisticians. You can find a list of NFL player who have been hauled off to jail HERE.
