Thanksgiving is more than a time to eat (overeat) and watch parades and football. We all seem to honor the old traditions of family gatherings and plenty of turkey and pie, but this year in particular, I really do want to give thanks for all the incredible blessings in my life. The only problem is that I have so much to be thankful for that I couldn't possibly list everything here.

If you read my article about living with depression, you know a little bit about what my year entailed, but above and beyond the battle with depression there are all the things that went right and things for which I'm thankful.

Let's face it, I do have one of the greatest jobs in the world. Basically, I get paid to have fun. yeah, I have a lot of duties that must be done, but, for the most part, my duties consist of new ways of having fun. How can you beat that?

My family is healthy. My daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters are very healthy and happy and that makes me very happy indeed.

I don't live in a mansion, but my home is very comfortable and I have great neighbors who look out for each other.

I have the greatest sister of all time and she and her family are doing great including my niece, Ruthie who defeated breast cancer like the champ she is.

I have incredible friends! They are always there for me and they're just like family. I do love my friends. Don't know where I'd be without them.

I have someone in my life who truly cares for me and spoils me rotten. She's such a blessing.

I live in a great country. We have our problems, of course, but how blessed are we to be born here?

I get to meet so many interesting people and learn abut them.

Because of my job, I get to help out charities and other organizations. You have no idea what that adds to my life. I'm so grateful that my job allows me to help other people.

I'm mostly thankful to God who grants me all these blessings despite the fact that I'm very unworthy of even one of them.

I hope you have a long list of things to be thankful for. Just take a couple of minutes tomorrow and think of all the blessings you have in your life. It will make your day.
