Human Mattress Domino Record [VIDEO]

On Tuesday February 28th, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Hall in New Orleans the first person fell back on their mattress, toppling onto the next. The result: 850 people dropping, one-by-one, until the final mattress landed, shattering the current world record. A Guinness adjudicator was on-site to verify the attempt's success and present the World Record certificate.

La Quinta Inns & Suites and Simmons Bedding Company will donate the 850 wrapped mattresses used in the record attempt to the Mayor's Homeless Initiatives and various local charities at the conclusion of the event.

About 850 La Quinta GMs, owners, employees, executives and guests will man one mattress for each La Quinta hotel in the country. They will arrange their mattresses in a special mattress-domino pattern designed by "Domino Wizard" Robert Speca.
