Everyone knows things are hot in Louisiana, from the food to the temps, but how hot is it really? The answer is surprising. At least it was for us! Check out Louisiana's hottest parishes according to Stacker.

Using data from the National Centers for Environmental Information, Stacker took a deep dive into our sweltering Louisiana summer weather. They looked at the average temps from June to August of last year and for their historical data, they averaged the temps from those same months from 1901 - 2000. That's a lot of data to crunch and we were truly shocked by the results. Last summer was one of the hottest on record for us here in northwest Louisiana. We experienced a whopping 25 100° plus days during the summer of 2022, making it the second hottest on record since they started keeping records in the 1870s. It brings a whole new meaning to the term hot girl summer, doesn't it?

I won't lie, I'm afraid this summer is going to be just as bad, if not worse than last year's. We're already off to a rough start and forecasters don't sound too encouraging. With that being said, one would expect the hottest parishes in Louisiana to be on the southern end of the state. Not so! Maybe they get the benefit of Gulf breezes down on the coast? Either way, you won't believe which parish was ranked the 'hottest!' Heck, every parish in our area basically made the list... and we only have 64 parishes in Louisiana. Read it and weep... or sweat. Whatevs!
