The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will induct the group Heart in it's April ceremonies and to mark that occasion, the Wilson sisters have announced that the original line up will be performing that evening.

Now, Heart has had a revolving door of personnel since their halcyon days in the mid 1970's to the mid 80's. In fact, the only constants have been Ann and Nancy Wilson.

The news comes courtesy of the Examiner, who noticed a post on original guitarist Roger Fisher's Facebook page, which read, "I haven't seen anyone announce it yet: THE ORIGINAL HEART LINEUP WILL PLAY AT THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY." This is believed to be the first time they will have performed together since Fisher's departure in 1979.

The original line up, other than the sisters Wilson, included Mike and Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen and Mike DeRosier. From that point on, the sisters had more back up players than just about any other rock band.

Back in December of last year, Ann Wilson was asked if she would perform with the original line up and her answer was, "Nope."

With or without the original line up, the induction will be on April 18th.

In the meantime, here is a video from Midnight Special of the band performing "Magic Man"
