Groupon Gets it Wrong — Stands Behind Wrong Answer

According to the folks at Groupon, the internet coupon mega site, historical facts are just a matter of opinion.

In a recent attempt to cash in on President's Day, Groupon made a great offer saluting President Alexander Hamilton with a $10 special since Hamilton is indeed on the $10 bill. The only problem is that Hamilton was never President of the United States.

The mistake is only the beginning of what makes this story funny. The real capper to the story is Groupon's response to being told that Hamilton was not an American president.

The official response from Groupon was, "We respect everyone's beliefs.  You're certainly entitled to your opinion."

Of course, that's just a wordy way of saying, 'What Everrr'

I wish I'd known that all these facts and figures were a matter of opinion. I'd have aced history!
