Gridiron, the annual night of skits, songs and laughter, is the show that the American Press called the "Saturday Night Live" of Southwest Louisiana. It's a local tradition! The fundraiser pokes fun at local and state newsmakers and the media through skits, songs, monologues and videos. Proceeds from Gridiron benefit the Ad and Press Club Scholarships at McNeese State University and Sowela Technical Community College.

This year’s show, “Louisiana Bail Out” takes place Saturday, July 16, in the Lake Charles Civic Center. Come join us at 6:00 pm on the Civic Center Mezzanine to network and enjoy tasty morsels from the area’s best restaurants and caterers. Then come down to the Rosa Hart Theatre for the show, beginning at 7:30 pm.

Hard to believe that this annual review has been going on for 44 years now and, of course, the show is as fresh as ever. I was in several of the Gridiron shows and, I have to tell you, I had the time of my life.

The folks at the Ad & Press Club leave no one unscathed when they take on all the local politicians and movers and shakers in the Lake Area. Chances are, if there is anyone in town who made the news for just about any reason, they're going to get roasted in Gridiron.

Tickets for this great event range from $25 to $50 and they are well worth every penny. If you're looking for a great evening's entertainment with tons of fun and a great dinner, get your Gridiron tickets HERE.
