Golden Nugget Opens in Lake Charles

It was a "who's Who" of Lake Charles and state dignitaries as the brand new $700 million Golden Nugget Casino and Hotel opened officially today. There was a huge crowd on hand enjoying this beautiful new facility.

The Golden Nugget features 70 tables games, a state of the art poker room and over 1,600 of the newest slot machines. The entire complex sits just north of the I-210 bridge on the Calcasieu River. Also featured are an 18,000 square-foot ballroom; 30,000 square feet of meeting space; a one-of-a-kind pool; private beach front and marina. Also at the Golden Nugget you'll find Landry’s signature restaurants including Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse, Grotto Italian Ristorante, Lillie’s Asian Cuisine, Saltgrass Steak House, Claim Jumper Restaurant, Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar and Landry’s Seafood House. The facility include 5 lounges including Blue Martini,  Bar 46, Ice Bar, Rush Lounge, and H20 Pool & Ultra Lounge. The hotel features  740 deluxe guest rooms.

There is certainly something for everybody. In April 2015, the 18-hole championship golf course will offer amazing views with great golf shots and generous fairways.   Golden Nugget CEO Tilman J. Fertitta cut the ribbon today at 12:30 p.m..  He is very proud of his new facility and the over 2500 staff members assembled to make sure every visitor is treated well.

The Golden Nugget is located at 2550 Golden Nugget Blvd, Lake Charles, LA 70601. Just take the Nelson Exit off of I-210 and follow the signs.
