George Michael in Car Crash — Airlifted to Hospital

A late afternoon accident on the very busy M1 in England has sent George Michael to the hospital with a head injury.

George Michael was involved in a single car crash yesterday near London on the M1, he was then airlifted to a hospital with a head injury.

Michael, who had his early hits with Wham, then a long string of hits as a solo artist, was a passenger in a Range Rover when it crashed on the M1 a little before 6p.m. (London)

An ER spokesperson told reporters that Michael has sustained a head injury in the crash, but was expected to make a full recovery.

There's no information on the driver of the vehicle and authorities have not announced the cause of the one car accident.
