Predicting the final Game of Thrones season is a crapshoot, especially without George R.R. Martin’s books to guide us. We’re expecting some major deaths by next year’s finale, but a complex algorithm may have predicted even bigger shockers in store.

Entertainment Weekly pointed toward a Data Robot algorithm that analyzed the Wiki pages of 2,000 Game of Thrones characters, evaluating their survival chances by age, gender, house, nobility and dead family members (Good luck, Starks and Targaryens!). Needless to say, we never imagined Game of Thrones would end as happily as Jon Snow and Daenerys sharing a more democratic Iron Throne with Tyrion off cracking wise as Hand, but the algorithm’s chance-of-death percentages are pretty brutal:

Daenerys Targaryen – 83.77% chance of death
Jaime Lannister – 72.91% chance of death
Tyrion Lannister – 70.76% chance of death
Bran Stark – 66.02% chance of death
Cersei Lannister – 60.39% chance of death
Jon Snow – 58.99% chance of death
Euron Greyjoy – 54.95% chance of death
Sansa Stark – 50.28% chance of death
Arya Stark – 49.04% chance of death
Gendry – 39.87% chance of death

Poor Daenerys. Emilia Clarke really wasn’t kidding when she called the finale “divisive.” Bran and the Lannisters are somewhat less surprising (love you Tyrion, but you’ve survived way too much), and the rest are sitting pretty with around 50% odds. Still, we have to ask – Gendry has a better chance than Arya? Dude can run and row, but lost that fancy hammer about five minutes into “Beyond The Wall.” Just let those crazy kids make a life together, and we’ll be fine. Take Bronn if you need to.

We’ll likely have better Game of Thrones death odds as the year rolls on, so stay tuned.
