Former Police Chief Arrested on Drug Charges
It's always a shock when a law enforcement officer is arrested on drug charges, but this one is really surprising. It seems that a former Mermentau Police Chief has been arrested on drug charges following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Grace St. in Jennings.
The arrest of 26-year-old Amber Dubois Langlinais on drug charges follows an ongoing narcotics investigation at a home in Jennings. A subsequent search of the home lead to the discovery of drugs in the residence.
Langlinais was placed under arrest and charged with possession of CDS I (marijuana), possession of CDS II (hydrocodone), and possession of CDS IV (soma) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Langlinais was booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail without bond.
